In the 1990s, Akbar began his journey by manufacturing gloves and later expanded into leather production. He started selling leather across Pakistan.

In 2005, he further expanded his business by manufacturing various leather products. By 2010, he ventured into textile product manufacturing and began fabric production in 2012.
